-ort story and post your masterpiece for others to read and comment on.

The Write Life:  Whether your a novice writer or an expert, or indeed just interested, I find this site a good jumping off point for the Booker Award.

Books By Charles Dickens: If your in the reading mood you can get the complete works of Charles Dickens here.  Download the files and read until your hearts content. Print them out if you want to read in bed.  Surf around this site and you'll find numerous writers.

Outlook Express 5: Learn all you will ever need to know about Outlook Express 5. This site has been my saviour a few times in the past.

Complaining:  Ever feel like just getting it off your chest.  Gripes, moans, complaints and grumblings, do it all here and let everyone know about it.

Name a Star: Why not get your name or the name of a friend imprinted in the night sky, forever.

Stress Management: Do you want less stress? This is a marvellous site for anyone who wants or needs help to relieve stress.

Citizens Advice Bureau:  For free and confidential advice.

On the freestuff side, check out:

Free Downloads: Why buy software when you can download it free.  I've been caught out several times buying pretty expensive software CD's only to find that I could get similar for free online.

Free Internet Access:  There are plenty UK free ISP's here.  I've tried out a few but it's important that you read the small print, all is not what it seems at first sight.  I'm still convinced that your better paying a small monthly subscription.  It's the old story, you'll get nothing for nothing.

On the news side, check out:

UTV Internet:  If you miss the evening news why not visit here.  Most news broadcasters have their own site but I prefer this one as UTV is also my Internet Service Provider.  They're fast and reliable and pretty reasonably priced at £10 per month.

BTInternet: I've put BT in here because I also use it as an ISP, not as fast as UTV but worth a look.  You can also find out how much is owed on your telephone bill at any time.

Irish News:  To save money (who me?) I will sometimes use the online edition of newspapers.  I find that you can get more info on the net version.

The Belfast Telegraph:  Another favourite local paper.  Again it's good for the TV schedules and for putting forward your comments etc.

The Irish Times:  Plenty reading here on Irish affairs.

Other miscellanious stuff, check out:

Linc's Link's: A handy site to preview the internet and 'a safe place to call home'.

Danny Carson:  An excellent site by Ballycastle man, Danny.  Plenty good stuff here with an abundance of interesting links.  It's one of the first sites I visited when I first came online and call back occasionally to see what new ideas he has come up with.

Dockkash: A neat little site including Preferred Links and Search Engine.

Anti-Virus Updates:  A must visit site for everyone.  As the name suggests McAfee anti-virus site will give you information on all the latest viruses and explain how to delete them.

MyFamily.com:  I've been using this site as a family get-together. It's easy to use, but hard to get the family to visit.

IrelandByNet.com:  A site with all things Irish, especially for our cuz's from across the world.  I spend some time chatting on here.

Weird-But-True:  Yes, indeed, some strange and weird stories, but true.

Palmistry:  Some may think this is weird also, give it a try and see the future in your hands.

Inspirational: If you feel like subscribing to get Readers Digests, Inspiration, Comments or Quotes etc. to your inbox, go here.

Flame Warriors:  If your into on-line chat this site will give you a rundown on the type of people you are likely to meet, and how to spot them.

Dreams:  Ever wonder what that aweful dream you had last night really means. Click on to this site and find out.

Postcards:  I use this site quite a lot for sending my postcards.

FBI Investigates:  If you like to know what the FBI are up to, visit here.
