I am researching my McCaughan line on my paternal side
my grt-grt grandmother was Nancy McCaughan of Armoy who married Henry Hamill
around 1860 their daughter Mary Hamill married Hugh Kerr of Ballyweaney
her father was Archibald McCaughan (McCahan in the Griffiths valuation) who
leased a house to a Margaret mccaughan(McCahan)who was a relative of his
(mother or sister)
Nancy had a brother William McCaughan who was a witness at her wedding in
Armoy Parish church.
Their farm was at Cromaghs (Cromacks) Armoy.
